Today, April 1, 2011, our Ian turned 5 years old.
Where he is though, there was no cake.
So good thing we had one made special for him!
Where he is, there were no candles.
So good thing we had five candles lit for him! and 5 kids to blow them out too!
Where he is, no one sang to him.
So good thing we had a choir of friends, all who have given time, money, and prayers to help get you home!
Where he is, there were no presents.
So good thing in honor of Ian, we drew his Operation BootCamp winner!

Where Ian is, there were likely no special hugs today, or even the recognition that today was his 5th birthday.
So good thing we hugged each other as we packed our bags and laid out our clothes for the 28 hour journey by plane that we will embark upon tomorrow
to meet Ian for the first time.

What a wonderful celebration....although I know you were missing your sweet boy! It brought tears to my eyes to see the photos of your family and think of how blessed Ian will be. That little boy is going to light up your world a little more brightly.....and I can't wait to see both your little guys running around together:):) Fun times ahead for sure!
